About Kevin

I'm an expert in applied cryptography and building secure, scalable infrastructures.

As a Software Engineer I have experience across a breadth of technologies and industries. I maintain numerous open source projects, including fteproxy, and contribute to The Tor Project and uProxy.

In 2013, along with my co-authors, I developed Format-Transforming Encryption --- a cryptographic primitive that's now being used, in countries such as Iran and China, to circumvent Internet censorship. In 2014, this work was recognized with a surprise gift of $100,000 from Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt. Watch the TEDx talk to learn more.
